Christmas Trees

It is that time of the year again. We like to cut our own Christmas tree so we drove the Black Mesa Ranger Station near Heber to get our permit. We will drive back and cut the tree in two weeks. Hopefully there will be snow when we go.

Thanksgiving was wonderful. Lots of food and conversation with family.

Oh yeah, Happy Birthday to Scott. He's 38 now.

This picture was taken on the dock at Woods Canyon Lake east of Payson.

chimpeachment continued

Filed Under Republican Unamerican Outrage of the Week

On Thursday Rep. Murtha from Pennsylvania called for a Congressional Resolution seeking the immediate withdrawal of troops from Iraq. Rep. Murtha was a 37 year combat veteran Marine. Rep. Murtha swerved this country honorably in Vietnam.

On Friday the Republican leadership got a little too cute and asked for debate and a Resolution they offerred demanding the immediate withdrawal of troops. The matter came up for debate and the most junior Representative in the, Jean Schmidt (R) from Ohio (she beat Iraq veteran Paul Hackett in a recent election) and called Rep. Murtha a coward. Watch the video for yourself.

Rep. Schmidt's comments are an abomination. I am so sick of how Bush has destroyed so much of what is great about America. He is the antithesis of a patriot and his actions have only created a situation where people like Rep. Schmidt become "leaders" in this country.

Who cares if there was no WMD?

Lost amid all of the rancor about Bush's argument that Democrats should have known better than to believe Bush about WMD and the need to go to war in Iraq is the implicit admission by Bush that he would have gone to war even if he knew there was no WMD because he believed it was the right thing to do.

In the end, isn't that really what matters - that Bush simply does not possess the judgment and discretion necessary to serve as the Commander in Chief. I mean, even if it is true that Clinton also believed that Iraq had WMD prior to the war, Clinton never asked for authorization to use force to disarm Iraq and he never suggested we put 150,000 soldiers at risk and spend $300 billion to promote democracy or whatever other excuse Bush now has.

Taylor T5

I won one of these on ebay. It is a Taylor T5 and is a cross between an electric and acoustic guitar. I got one with a Tobacco Sunburst finish. My wife says I am like a little kid now because I can't stop buying new guitars and other toys. I am just happy that I am now at a place in my life where I can afford to spend a few bucks every now and then to buy things that make our lives easier and more interesting. I like to be inspired and creative - playing guitar does that for me.

chimpeachment

It's time to stark thinking seriously about the commencement of impeachment proceedings. The American public is waking from its slumber and is finally discovering what so many progressives have been saying - that Bush is an incompetent leader and a pathological liar.

This is short because I don't know what to write. I lost my password for awhile but somehow remembered it. I got a new laptop, a Toshiba Satellite M45-S359. It is badass. My wife is the best because it was her idea to get me this new toy.

DID I DO THIS THE RIGHT WAY?
